Emily will carefully guide you through sampling, experimenting and introduce you to the versatility of the translucent material, explaining how you can cut accurate shapes, build tone, leave space. How you can draw and paint on the silk organza to transfer images successfully. You will apply these skills to a simple view of your choice.

You will learn different approaches to stitching the pieces together, both for construction and decoration. 

Your starting point might be a photograph of your garden, a drawing of a view or a holiday snap. Emily will help you make a composition to work from and offer advice and reassurance so you can make good choices depending on your experience.
